Cupcakes have recently become the ‘in-trend’ for birthday parties, many are attracted by the varieties and the cuteness of cupcakes rather then the original birthday cakes. Hence, there are few tips to organizing a cupcake birthday party.
Firstly, to organize a cupcake birthday party, invitation cards had to be sent out. Cute cupcake shaped invitation card should be made, and apart from that, incorporate it with some confetti in the envelope before sending it out to your friends and family.
Decorations are utterly important for a cupcake birthday party. Place a brown cloth over and table and on top of it lay a smaller piece of pink table cloth that act as frosting on a cupcake, then sprinkle some confetti over it. The table setting will act as big cupcakes and be a center of attraction for the cupcake birthday party.
Apart from that, to spice up the atmosphere of a cupcake birthday party, games should be introduced. Piñata is one of the commonly played games in a party; guest will need to hit the Piñata after being spin for several time, candies and chocolate will be filled in the Piñata itself.
Large jelly beans should also be prepared for another fun cupcake birthday party game called the ‘sprinkle relay race’ where guests are divided into two teams and having them lined up behind the starting point. A container filled with equal amount of jelly beans will be places in from of the guests while another will be placed far away from the starting point. The goal of this game is that the guests will have to use a wooden spoon to transfer as many ‘sprinkles’ to the opposite container while running, the first team with all their ‘sprinkles’ transferred will win the game.
Besides, allocate a ‘design your own cupcakes’ corner for the children, so that they will be able to decorate cupcakes to their own liking. Bowls of sprinkles, candies, frosting should be prepared. Each child should be given 2 to 3 cupcakes and several plastic spoons for them to use for the decoration process.
Birthday cake is an essential to a cupcake birthday party; hence, it is important to bake a cake that looks like a cupcake to suit the theme. Gift bags are one of the highlights of the party as well, each guest should be handed a gift bag which includes, a mini cupcake, a cupcake shape biscuit, cupcake stickers, a cupcake shape thank you card and candies as a token of appreciation for attending the party.
Apart from that, guest can also take Polaroid pictures with the birthday girl/ guy as memories; a picture taking booth can be set up for this purpose. Props can also be found next to the booth for the photo taking session, which includes hats, cupcake cards, colorful wigs etc.
